Council-7/25/77 <br /> <br />Letter on ROTC training. An incident occurred three weeks ago <br />about 2:00 a.m., Sunday morning. The City received complaints <br />about Civil War type noises coming from the Boy Scout Camp <br />(machine gun artillery, rifle firing). The ROTC apparently <br />contacted Central Communications but did not contact the City. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann said a letter should be sent to the Boy Scout <br />~mp regarding who they let use the property and telling them we <br />don't want our citizens disturbed by this type of activity again. <br /> <br />Coon Rapids truck. Mr. Nereson said he is seeking a motion <br />to purchase another truck for Street Department use. A 1971 <br />Dodge, single axel equipped to suite the department"s needs, <br />with 32,000 miles on it. In view of'the capital crunch this <br />will be a way for the City to buy a couple years time before <br />purchasing new equipment. <br /> <br />Motion by Reimann, seconded by Gamec to authorize purchase of the <br />Coon Rapids truck not to exceed $2,500. <br /> <br />4 Aye.< <br /> <br />Forest Hideaway - letter of credit. <br />Attorney Goodrich has reviewed the letter of credit and <br />there is no problem with the concept but some wording will <br />be changed. <br /> <br />Motion by Muller, seconded by Mlckelson to approve the irrevocable <br />letter of credit of Forest Hideaway, Mr. Delmar Belfany, in place <br />of the performance bond, subject to certain changes for clarification <br />as recommended by the City attorney and the letter is not to be <br />accepted until the City attorney has approved the wording of the <br />letter of credit. 4 Ayes <br /> <br />f o <br /> <br />Authorization of Metropolitan Systems Statement. <br />Mr. Nereson read and explained the systems statement response <br />and said he is seeking Council authorization to accept the <br />Systems Statement.. <br /> <br />Motion by Reimann, seconded by Mickelson to accept the Metro <br />SystemsStatement as read by Mr. Nereson. <br /> <br />4 Ayes <br /> <br />g. Bingo Permit for Anoka Fire Department. <br /> <br />Motion by Mickelson, seconded by Reli'mann to grant permission to the <br />Anoka Fire Department to hold Bingo on September 11, 1977, at <br />St. Anthony Gun Club from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 4 Ayes <br /> <br />h. Release of old highway easement. <br /> <br />Motion by Mickelson, seconded by Reimann to adopt Resolution No. 42 <br />to release an old highway easement on County Road 5 which is no <br />longer needed by the County. <br /> <br />4 Ayes <br /> <br /> <br />
