Regular ?i eeting September 12, 1977 Page Four Administrator's Report MOTTO~.J by Reimann, seconded by ~Juller to withdraw the Nenkveld motion which is Resolution ~5 which was the Eminent Domain proceedings for portions of the north one half of Section 27. 5 Ayes YOT]O~f by Reimann, seconded by Muller to enter into an agreement with Ed Klemish for the blacktopping frontage on Lot l, Block l, Klemish Addition which was previously escrowed to the City. 5 Ayes A publ.~c hearing was set for 7:00 P.M. on October 17, 1977 at Ramsey Ele~entary School. Purpose of the hearing will be zoning ordinance amendments and. the completion of the urban planning study. Administrative Assistant Nereson said he met with the State Highway Department regarding the Highway l0 access. He asked them to extend their study further west to at least County Road 83. When the plan is done, Mr. Nereson feels they will come out to the Council and present it to them. School property land acquisition - There was discussion on the possibility of the school[ donating land to the City and the City in~ turn would offer to develop it. Yayor Cox suggested that a letter be written to the Anoka County Highway Engineer expressing the City's concern for the upgrading of County Road 56 and that a carbon copy of the letter be sent to Commissioner Ed Fields. Titterud land acquisition- Attorney Goodrich is preparing a purchase agreement. Rum River Management Plan - Mr. Neresonwrote a letter requesting on behalf of the city that the less stringent of the rules be applied to Ramsey. Fr. Nereson is hopeful that they will approve our request at the final meeting. The }!u~.lding Official has written letters to businesses on Highway 10 for non- conformance of the city ordinance,~ but'only alfew have begun to comply. The Council directed Clayton Berg to handle the situation. City ;~all is progressing in time, but there are a couple of detail problems. There is a drain field problem that will have to be corrected and a basement ceiling height problem which was brought to the architect's attention some time ago. There is a meeting scheduled to discuss these two problems. MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT Mayor Cox mentioned that there has been no reporting to the newspaper dor~e at the last few meetings and that Joe Perron should be notified.. Councilman Gamee asked if the codification was going to be done soon and Yr. }'ereson said that he thinks a rough draft will be presented to the Counc5l early in October. Roy Olson, who was elected teacher of the year, teaches in Mounds View arm lives in Anoka. ~'ayor Cox said he would like to see the Council forward so~e type of certificate of appreciation for his being an outstanding individual in the community.
