Regular ?i eeting <br />September 12, 1977 <br />Page Four <br /> <br />Administrator's Report <br /> <br />MOTTO~.J by Reimann, seconded by ~Juller to withdraw the Nenkveld motion which is <br />Resolution ~5 which was the Eminent Domain proceedings for portions of the <br />north one half of Section 27. 5 Ayes <br /> <br />YOT]O~f by Reimann, seconded by Muller to enter into an agreement with Ed Klemish <br />for the blacktopping frontage on Lot l, Block l, Klemish Addition which was <br />previously escrowed to the City. 5 Ayes <br /> <br />A publ.~c hearing was set for 7:00 P.M. on October 17, 1977 at Ramsey Ele~entary <br />School. Purpose of the hearing will be zoning ordinance amendments and. the <br />completion of the urban planning study. <br /> <br />Administrative Assistant Nereson said he met with the State Highway Department <br />regarding the Highway l0 access. He asked them to extend their study further <br />west to at least County Road 83. When the plan is done, Mr. Nereson feels they <br />will come out to the Council and present it to them. <br /> <br />School property land acquisition - There was discussion on the possibility of the <br />school[ donating land to the City and the City in~ turn would offer to develop it. <br /> <br />Yayor Cox suggested that a letter be written to the Anoka County Highway <br />Engineer expressing the City's concern for the upgrading of County Road 56 <br />and that a carbon copy of the letter be sent to Commissioner Ed Fields. <br /> <br />Titterud land acquisition- Attorney Goodrich is preparing a purchase agreement. <br /> <br />Rum River Management Plan - Mr. Neresonwrote a letter requesting on behalf of <br />the city that the less stringent of the rules be applied to Ramsey. Fr. Nereson <br />is hopeful that they will approve our request at the final meeting. <br /> <br />The }!u~.lding Official has written letters to businesses on Highway 10 for non- <br />conformance of the city ordinance,~ but'only alfew have begun to comply. The <br />Council directed Clayton Berg to handle the situation. <br /> <br />City ;~all is progressing in time, but there are a couple of detail problems. <br />There is a drain field problem that will have to be corrected and a basement <br />ceiling height problem which was brought to the architect's attention some <br />time ago. There is a meeting scheduled to discuss these two problems. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />Mayor Cox mentioned that there has been no reporting to the newspaper dor~e at <br />the last few meetings and that Joe Perron should be notified.. <br /> <br />Councilman Gamee asked if the codification was going to be done soon and Yr. <br />}'ereson said that he thinks a rough draft will be presented to the Counc5l early <br />in October. <br /> <br />Roy Olson, who was elected teacher of the year, teaches in Mounds View arm lives <br />in Anoka. ~'ayor Cox said he would like to see the Council forward so~e type of <br />certificate of appreciation for his being an outstanding individual in the <br />community. <br /> <br /> <br />
