-3- <br />Council <br />.Regular Meeting <br />O~ober 24, 1977 <br /> <br />highly recommended her. <br /> <br />MOTION by Reimann~ seconded by Mickelson to nominate Joan Thunnel <br />to act as liaison to the school district Community School Advisory <br />Council. 5 Ayes <br /> <br />Mayor Cox directed Mr. Nereson to call Mr. Zelenak to inform him <br />that the community school program has been restructured. <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson said that this year he would like to work very closely <br />with Mr. Hadley and the program so that if something comes up it <br />can be oresented to the Council for Council direction, <br /> <br />3. Findings of Fact, Urban Plan Zoning Amendment <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich read the Findings of Fact as listed in Resolution #45, <br />copies of which had been given to the Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson cormnented that he feels the people should know that they <br />can come to the Council or Planning Commission at any time with a <br />request. <br /> <br />There was much discussion on the Gorham and Aydt properties. It <br />was considered to change it to ~B-2 but that drive-in banks and <br />eating places would not be acceptable here. After additional <br />discussion, it was the consensus of the Council to create a UMB-2 <br />zone for the Gale Gorham and Bill Aydt property, with special <br />district permitted uses. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Council to include the change for the <br />property located on Industry Boulevard between Flintwood Hills Addition <br />and Highway #47 as submitted by a letter form Mr. Richard Carson, dated <br />October 19, 1977. <br /> <br />Ron West was present at the meeting regarding his property in Autumn <br />H~ights. Block 3, Lot was was zoned commercial reaffirming previous <br />town board action, dated July 9, 1974. <br /> <br />Regarding the Grosslein property south of Highway #10, Attorney Goodrich <br />said that as far as he was concerned, nothing was presented at the <br />public hearing to convince the City to change the area to residential. <br /> <br />MOTION by Reimann, seconded by Gamec that in order to preserve the record <br />and eliminate any confusion, it is the Council's intention that the <br />R. esidential (R-Ih/Business (B-l) boundary lying within Auditor's <br />Subdivision No. 96 be that boundary as legally described in Ramsey's <br />Ordinance No, 75-10 and specifically that all of Parcel 1520 Plat <br />89235 shall continue to be zoned as Business (B-I) which parcel was <br />so zoned by the City's Ordinance No. 73-5. 5 Ayes <br /> <br />The Council also discussed a letter from Mr, George Paquin regarding <br />the proposed Carter ValleY plat. The request was to change the <br />boundary line between the transitional and rural development areas to <br />allow for this plat. After discussion, the Council rejected the request <br />based on the following findings. <br /> <br /> <br />
