Special Meeting/Council <br />December 6, 1977 <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />RAMSEY CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> COUNTY OF ANOKA <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the City of Ramsey <br />held a Special Council Meeting on December 6, 1977 at 5:00 <br />p.m. at the construction site of the new Ramsey Municipal <br />Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd., Anoka, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Cox <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Reimann <br />Councilman Gamec <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Members Absent: Councilman Muller <br /> <br />Jack Boarman, <br />Setter, Leach & Lind. <br />Jack Wilberding, <br />Setter, Leach & Lind. <br />Clayton Berg, <br />Building Official <br />Phil Nereson, <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />Mayor Cox opened the meeting at 5:28 p.m. and led the Pledge <br />of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Agenda Item A <br /> <br />The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the construction <br />phase of the Ramsey Municipal Center. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox opened the discussion by indicating to Mr. Boarman <br />and Mr. Wilberding that in general terms he was pleased with <br />the construction of the Ramsey Municipal Center and that it <br />was a very nice facility. Mayor Cox also indicated however, <br />that the purpose of this meeting was to indicate some areas <br />of the building of which the City was not pleased and felt <br />that Mr. Boarman and representatives of Setter, Leach and <br />Lindstrom should be made aware of these. Itemizing some of the <br />problems Mr. Cox indicated the sewage lift system, bathroom <br />rough-in in Room #9, absence of a softener for the water <br />system and the exposed duct work. Mayor Cox indicated that <br />the duct work for the building had been discussed and it <br />was indicated that there would be exposed duct, however, <br />the Council was unaware of the magnitude and size of the <br />duct and that the final result certainly was not the intent <br />of the City Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Jack Boarman responded by saying that he was also sur- <br />prised that there was no softener for the water system pro- <br />vided in the mechanical plans and he would investigate.
