In addition to regional planning, the Community <br />Development operating budget includes funding <br />for the following programs: <br />•The Metropolitan Housing and <br />Redevelopment Authority (Metro HRA) <br />serves nearly 6,800 families monthly <br />through rental assistance. <br />•The Livable Communities program provides <br />funding for communities to invest in <br />local economic revitalization, affordable <br />housing initiatives, and development or <br />redevelopment that connects various land <br />uses to transportation. <br />ORGANIZATION CHART <br />•The Parks and Open Space program <br />supports a regional system of parks and trails <br />by making capital grants to 10 regional park <br />implementing agencies. These grants support <br />the acquisition of land, park improvements, <br />and rehabilitation.
