Regular ~ eeting January 23, 1978 Page Five Discussion was held regarding the city hockey rink and its maintenance, partic~[[arly snow removal. ~;ayor Cox assigned Council[man Gamec to be charge of weekend cleaning of the rink. [3uii[ding Department The Council reviewed the monthly building report submitted by Building Official Berg. Assessing Department ]~ayor Cox read the mont?£[y report submitted by Assessor Lester Wirz. 4,. }~elice Department l'ayor Cox read the report from the Pol.ice Department for the year 1977, Councilman Reimann read the report from the Police Department for the ~onths Vovew. ber an~ December, 1977, 5. [~ark Department ~,'~ayor Cox reviewed the minutes of the January 19, 1978 meeting of the ~'arks and lRecreation Commission. A meeting regard, lng the Park Department has been scheduled for January 25, 1978 at City IIall with ~'.~r. Salmela from School Dist. ll attending. YOTION by l~.'uller, seconded by Reimann to accept the resignation of l(athy Schneider fro~ the Park Department. 5 Ayes ~OTION by Reimann, seconded by ~,,~ickelson, to accept the resignation of taul ~ogner from the }ark Department. 5 Ayes ~, ayor Cox asked that a letter be sent to them telling them the City appreciated the work they did wh~le a part of the Parks and Recreation Com~ittee. ENGINEER'S REFORT Engineer Raatikka presented an ordinance to the Council on sewage which wou'ld prevent disposal in the city limits. It was the consensus of the Council to ~ave the orSinance revised to include supervised dumping. Enf~ineer Raatikka presented an estimate of what it would cost him to do a comprehensive storm drain survey. It was decided b~ the Council to ~et more input on J.t and. wait for the CAI3 interceptor.
