Regu!~ar I. eeting <br />January £3, 1978 <br />Page Six <br /> <br />En~ineer Raatikka said he received the 1978 ~unicipal State Air Street <br />Apportionment Data today and that Ramsey will receive $120,781 state aid <br />to be used on construction on Variolite Street. t{e said that as of <br />December 31st, Ramsey had $14,966 surplus in the MSA Fund. <br /> <br />gnf~ineer kaatikka said. that Ramsey is being penalized based on its population <br />as there are more people living in Kamsey than they are being apportioned <br />fer as it goes by the Federal census. It was the consensus of the Council <br />to write a strong letter to the Minnesota Department of Transportation telling <br />them that Ramsey does not think it is fair to be penalized in this way. He said <br />to also send a letter to the legislators. <br /> <br />F;OTION by y~ckelson, seconded by Reimann to adopt Resolution 78-5 expressing <br />concern about the Department of ~-ighway's excessive expenditures on rest areas, <br />beautification of highways, sound barriers, not per, sitting transmission lines <br />in pub]Ac utilitJes and not permitting them to be in the right of way, and. <br />feel they should incorporate this into their plans for the future to al]low <br />ri~ht-of-way for the utility poles and transmission lines. 5 Ayes <br /> <br />>'ayor Cox asked that copies be sent to the C~anty Co~5ssioner and the Governor <br />of the State. <br /> <br />i-.ayor Cox read a report, from the Community Education Dept. announcing that they <br />appointed l~.ark }~ad!ey to the District Advisory Council to represent Ransey <br />C o~munity School. <br /> <br />BILLS FOR APPROVAL <br /> <br />YOTIO~.~ by Lickelson, seconded by Reimann, to approve the ~ills for Approval <br />list dated. Dahlman bill for tree suza, ey in <br />the amourlt of $845.96 be reviewed. <br /> <br />Personnel I'eeting was set for February 8th, 1978, 5:30 PJ'/. at City t'all. <br /> <br />~'. ayor Cox asked that 1,'r.
