Council 4/10/78 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson read a letter from KTWN FM Radio regarding future cover- <br />age of Ramsey Council meetings. It requested copies of the Council <br />Agenda and said a reporter will be assigned to cover the meeting, <br />but because he may not always be able to attend, they would like to <br />be able to contact someone about the meeting of the night before to <br />relay to the area the proceedings of the Council meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox read a letter from Commissioner Ray Johnson from the County <br />which included a copy of Resolution 78-22 about the 911 emergency <br />telephone service plan for the Council's review. Mayor Cox asked <br />Clayton Berg to review this plan and respond to it at the next Council <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox mentioned that John Seefer, who now lives in Ramsey, wants <br />to become active in the airport development. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br /> <br />1) Appointments to the Tri-City Fire Committee <br /> <br />The Tri-City Fire Committee is being established between the Cities of <br />Anoka, Champlin and Ramsey for the purposes of studying fire service <br />in all three communities and making recommendations on possible al- <br />'~ernatives. <br /> <br />The Committee is made up of the top administrative appointed official <br />from each city, one elected representative from each community, two <br />members from the Anoka City Fire Department, and one chairman whom is <br />to be appointed and reside in either Ramsey or Champlin. <br /> <br />MOTION by Muller, seconded by Reimann to appoint Paul R. Welter as <br />Chairman for the Tri-City Fire Committee. 5 Ayes <br /> <br />MOTION by Muller, seconded by Cox to appoint Gary Reimann, as elected <br />representative from Ramsey, to the Tri-City Fire Committee. 5 Ayes <br /> <br />MOTION by Reimann, seconded by Mickelson to appoint Ramsey~s Administrative <br />Assistant to the Tri-City Fire Committee. 5 Ayes <br /> <br />(The position of Ramsey Administrative Assistant is presently open and <br />when filled, the individual will assume this appointment.) <br /> <br />2) Whispering Pines Plat 4 Final Plat <br /> <br />MOTION by Mickelson, seconded by Gamec to approve the final plat of <br />Whispering Pines Plat #4. <br /> <br />There was general discussion about the deficient lot size widths and <br />the City Engineers report dated April 10, 1978. Mickelson withdrew his <br />motion, Gamec withdrew his second. Motion by Mickelson, second by <br />Muller to grant a variance to the lot widths that are deficient in <br />Whispering Pines Plat #4. 5 Ayes <br /> <br /> <br />
