C~uncil Page Gary Gorham was present and asked Attorney Goodrich to read the part of the nuisance ordinance that this situation falls under. Attorney Goodrich explained that if it is declared a nusance that it would be handled as a misdemeanor. ~ary Gorham told the Council that he feels they have the tools in their hands to do the job and it should be done without bringing personal problems into it. Mr. Nereson said he really questions why forty-five minutes was used to sit and pick each other apart. He said a motion was made two weeks ago to proceed with a certain element of action and it has not expired yet. He said he feels it is foolish to set here with a bunch of personalities being shredded apart. Mr. Gfroerer explained that the reason he came to the meeting was because of the changes he made in the letter. REPORTS ~ Street Department - The Council received and reviewed a copy of the Street Report submitted by Merle Mevissen. Building Department - The Council received and reviewed a copy of the Building Report submitted by Clayton Berg. Councilman Reimann was directed to take a look at a fire truck the City is thinking of purchasing. Assessing Report - Assessing is complete. A Board of Review is set for May 18, 7:00. Police Department - The Council received and reviewed a copy of the Police Report submitted by Mike Auspos. Administrator' s Rep?rt Mr. Nereson said he feels Ramsey should appeal the Metro Waste Commission decision regarding the CAB Interceptor. He recommended that a negotiating status be main- tained with them. He said he would like to meet with the Personnel Committee about what is going to happen May 1. He said they are receiving good applications on the secretary's position and applications on the Administrative Assistance job are open until May 26. Attorney's Report MOTION by Muller, seconded by Mickelson to authorize payment of the $30.00 fee for Attorney Goodrich to attend the two-day seminar at the Radisson South, May 17 and 23, sponsored by the Government Training Service. 5 Ayes BILLS FOR APPROVAL: MOTION by Reimann, seconded by Mickelson to approve for payment the bills for the month of April in the amount of $40,6~7.O3. 5 Ayes Mayor and Council Input~ Councilman Reimann reported that a quarantine is being put on any elm wood and it cant be shipped to any other city except by mutual agreement.
