C~uncil <br />Page <br /> <br />Gary Gorham was present and asked Attorney Goodrich to read the part of the nuisance <br />ordinance that this situation falls under. Attorney Goodrich explained that if it <br />is declared a nusance that it would be handled as a misdemeanor. ~ary Gorham told <br />the Council that he feels they have the tools in their hands to do the job and <br />it should be done without bringing personal problems into it. <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson said he really questions why forty-five minutes was used to sit and <br />pick each other apart. He said a motion was made two weeks ago to proceed with <br />a certain element of action and it has not expired yet. He said he feels it is <br />foolish to set here with a bunch of personalities being shredded apart. <br /> <br />Mr. Gfroerer explained that the reason he came to the meeting was because of <br />the changes he made in the letter. <br /> <br />REPORTS ~ <br /> <br />Street Department - The Council received and reviewed a copy of the Street Report <br />submitted by Merle Mevissen. <br /> <br />Building Department - The Council received and reviewed a copy of the Building <br />Report submitted by Clayton Berg. Councilman Reimann was directed to take a <br />look at a fire truck the City is thinking of purchasing. <br /> <br />Assessing Report - Assessing is complete. A Board of Review is set for May 18, 7:00. <br /> <br />Police Department - The Council received and reviewed a copy of the Police Report <br />submitted by Mike Auspos. <br /> <br />Administrator' s Rep?rt <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson said he feels Ramsey should appeal the Metro Waste Commission decision <br />regarding the CAB Interceptor. He recommended that a negotiating status be main- <br />tained with them. He said he would like to meet with the Personnel Committee <br />about what is going to happen May 1. He said they are receiving good applications <br />on the secretary's position and applications on the Administrative Assistance job <br />are open until May 26. <br /> <br />Attorney's Report <br /> <br />MOTION by Muller, seconded by Mickelson to authorize payment of the $30.00 fee <br />for Attorney Goodrich to attend the two-day seminar at the Radisson South, <br />May 17 and 23, sponsored by the Government Training Service. 5 Ayes <br /> <br />BILLS FOR APPROVAL: <br /> <br />MOTION by Reimann, seconded by Mickelson to approve for payment the bills for the <br />month of April in the amount of $40,6~7.O3. 5 Ayes <br /> <br />Mayor and Council Input~ <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann reported that a quarantine is being put on any elm wood and it <br />cant be shipped to any other city except by mutual agreement. <br /> <br />MOTION by ~.amec, seconded by Reimann to adjourn. 5 Ayes.
