Co~c~ ~/2~,/78
Page 5

He said he abstained from the vote because he has some property in that area,
although he did not buy property from Mr. Klemish, and if there is any legal
action, he felt it was in the best interest of the City that he didn't vote.
He said he has no problem with putting it on the Agenda to talk about it, but
it is wrong to direot the staff to do something that is illegal.

Councilman Gamec said that something is wrong if Ed Klemish's ideas can~ be
looked at in a businesslike way. He said he didn't think the Council members
should start to question each other.

Mr. Klemish was present and asked the people present who had signed the letter
if they know what they have done and if they understood all of the wording in
it. He asked if they would swear to it in court. Mr. Klemish said that he has
put up with enough of this and if the names are not withdrawn and the subject
dropped, he is filing suit with those~ people who do not withdraw their names.
He said he is also filing suit~~he City and with Mayor Cox and Councilman
Reimann if they do not resign from their positions. He said Mr. Reimann
directing people on his own is very unlawful.

Mr. Bob Gfroerer, 16810 Quicksilver Street, was present and said that there is
a correction he wished to make to the letter. He said it is not true as
stated in the letter that the thirty-day clean up period last year, 1977, was
not given to Ed Klemish. He also said that one person asked to be withdrawn
from the letter and that person is ~rs. Danan.

Mr. Ofroerer said he has been here many times ar~ it still took 1-1/2 hours
tonight to say he is not going to do it. ~e said he has been personally
threatened that a 3.2 beer joint was going to be built next to him and that
he will never see the deed to his land.

Dave Anderson, a neighbor, was present and said he feels he is closer to some
of these people than Mr. Klemish and said he runs a service business and has
equipment in his yard and no one has ever complained about him.

Mrs. Pat Carroll, 5953 169th Lane, was present and said the whole basic problem
is out of perspective. She said all they ask is that he just clean it up.

Bob Nix, 16195 Sodium, lives right next to Mr. Ktemish and said is problem is
with the building out in the swamp and is concerned that this area, too, will
become unsightly when Mr. Klemish mdves everything to it.

Mrs. Ed Klemish said Mr. Nix's back yard is full of pallats from his fire place

Nr. Gfroerer told the Council that any time he has come to a Council meeting he
has been told that he will see this mess cleaned up and now he S.aid now he will
have a suit against him because he came to the Council.

Councilman Gamec said he has been given thirty days to clean it up and that if
it is not done in thirty days it will have to be turned over to the Attorney.
