This will be reviewed in the budget process~ <br /> <br />ATTORNEY' S REPORT <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich presented the following: <br /> <br />1) Letter of resignation from Officer Robert Hansel. <br /> <br />~tion by Councilman Reimann, seconded by Councilman Mickelson to accept <br />Officer Hansel's resignation as presented on 6/28/78 and effective ?/15/75. <br /> <br />5 Ayes <br /> <br />Motion by CouncilmanMickelson, seconded by Councilman Muller to authorize <br />to advertise for a replacement for Officer Hansel. <br /> <br />5 Ayes <br /> <br />2) Request from Ed Longfield. Mr. Longfield doesn't have title to the <br />land, he is the contract purchaser, and needs a deed for the easement. <br />He said if the Sanderson's all sign he will be able to get the deed but at <br />present they are out of town, etc. He is asking iF the Council will take <br />a chance and give him a building permit. (property by Trott Brook Cemetery). <br /> <br />~-~yor Cox said he cannot go along with this because there is too much doubt <br />as to ho%; the Sanderson's will respond. <br /> <br />No action taken on this issue. <br /> <br />3) Request by staff to close the city offices on 7/3/78. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Gamec, seconded by Councilman Muller to close the City <br />offices on Monday, July 3, 1978. Employees have the choice of either <br />working or taking the day off without pay, comp or sick time may be used. <br /> <br />5 Ayes <br /> <br />4) Letter from the Metro Council regarding funding on the Rm~ River Bridge <br />crossing and announcing a meeting scheduled for 7/19/78. <br /> <br />It was consensus of the Council to send a representative from Consulting <br />Engineer's Diversified to this meeting on R~msey's beh~l£. <br /> <br />5) ~. Goodrich announced e new State ]aw on coin o~erated vending machines. <br />The City has the option, of whether or not to regulate the machines. <br />It was decided that the City would not take action to reg~Llate these r~chines <br />at this time and the issue iS to be presented again ne~t year. <br /> <br />6) A request to construct a steel building in the commercial area for storage. <br /> <br />This item is schedule to go to the Board of Adjustment on July 10, 1978 at <br />6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />7) Xerox Corporation contract for renewal. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann, seconded by Councilman Muller to renew the <br />contract with Xerox Corporation for copy machine services. <br /> <br />5 Ayes <br /> <br /> <br />
