2016 Election Information <br />and Important Dates <br />Following are important dates and information 6 B <br />with regard to the 2016 Election: <br />May 17, 2016 — Candidate Filing Opens — 8:00 a.m. The follow- <br />ing four (4) seats will be open for filing: Mayor, Councilmember at <br />Large, Ward 2 and Ward 4. The filing fee is $5.00. Please contact Jo <br />Thieling at 763-433-9840 or jthieling@cityoframsey.com if you have <br />questions. Filing closes at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 31. <br />June 24, 2016 — Primary Election In -Person Absentee Voting be- <br />gins and continues through Monday, August 8. You may vote in-person <br />absentee at Ramsey City Hall or at Anoka County Elections Depart- <br />ment, or request a ballot be mailed to you by contacting the City of <br />Ramsey at 763-427-1410 or Anoka County Elections at 763-323-5275. <br />You may request to vote absentee by mail at any time prior to this date <br />as well. The request is received and once the ballots are available, one <br />will be mailed to you. Besides absentee voting during regular business <br />hours of 8:00 am. to 4:30 p.m., Ramsey City Hall and Anoka County <br />Elections Department will be open to accommodate in-person absentee <br />voting on Saturday, August 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. <br />August 9, 2016 — Primary Election. All polling places in the City <br />of Ramsey will be open for voting from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. You may <br />find your polling place by visiting the City's website (www <br />cityoframsey.com) or contacting City staff at 763-427-1410. <br />September 23, 2016 — General Election In -Person <br />Absentee Voting begins and continues through Monday, <br />November 7.
