Page 3 <br />Council meeting <br />August 28, 1978 <br /> <br />Motion by Bob Muller and seconded by Gary Reimann to approve the minutes <br />of the public hearing on August 21, 1978. <br /> <br />3 ayes <br />Dave Mickelson abstained <br /> <br />Motion by Gary Reimann and seconded by Bob Muller to approve the minutes <br />of the Board of Adjustment meeting on August 21, 1978. <br /> <br />3 ayes <br />Dave Mickelson abstained <br /> <br />Motion by Gary Reimann and seconded by Bob Muller to approve the minutes <br />of the Special Council meeting of August 21, 1978. <br /> <br />3 ayes <br />Dave Mickelson abstained <br /> <br />LETTERS AND COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br />Mayor Cox read a letter from the PCA on the landfill. The Council directed <br />City Engineer Sha to schedule a meeting with the PCA and one member of the <br />Council. <br /> <br />LAWCON material was presented to Council. <br /> <br />The Church of St. Timothy sent a letter to the City Council. It was read <br />by Administrator Schnelle. It was regarding rental units in Ramsey and <br />Ramsey adopting an ordinance covering rental units. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />The zoning ordinance regarding paragraph 170.014B, City staff was directed <br />at the Council meeting of July 24, 1978 to review Home Occupations 170.014E <br />of City Code and Assessory Uses paragraph 170.014B of City Code as to con- <br />trol violations of these paragraphs. City staff submitted the following <br />recommendation to the City Council: <br /> <br />"Assessory Use shall not include the on site storage or parking of <br />trucks over one (1) ton or unlicensed equipment, loaders, cement mixers <br />backhoes and similar types of construction and excavation equipment, <br />also including storage of inventory and raw building material (six <br />month grandfather of present operators." <br /> <br />Council action if they desire to amend the zoning ordinance be to call <br />for public hearing in accordance with paragraph 170.019B. <br /> <br />Motion by Gary Reimann and seconded by Bob Muller to petition an amendment <br />to the zoning ordinance in accordance with paragraph 170.019A through <br />170.019B of City Code. Further that the staff recommendations as received <br />by the Council be forwarded to the Planning Commission for their review and <br />comments and that a report be submitted back to Council as required in <br />accordance with 170.019B subparagraph 2 of the City Code in order that <br />a public hearing date can be set. <br /> <br /> 3 ayes <br /> Dave Mickelson opposed <br /> <br /> <br />
