COUNCIL MEETING CITY OF RAMSEY COUNTY OF ANOKA STATE OF MINNESOTA A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on October 10, 1978, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota, 55303. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Cox at 8:50 P.M. Present: Mayor Cox Councilman Muller Councilman Reimann Councilman Mickelson Councilman Gamec Also Present: City Atto~mey Goodrich City Engineer Raatikka City Administrator Schnelle Mayor Cox led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Muller to approve the agenda with the following additions and deletions: 1) Addition - Decision on street improvement on Greenland Hills and unplatted area in SE¼ of Section 21, Township 32, Range 25 2) Addition - Appointment of new Park Board member per Park and Recreation recommendation 3) Deletion - Frank Freeze; regarding the sign ordinance 4) Deletion - Off-sale liquor license applications (tabled until the October 17, 1978 meeting) 5) 1979 City Operational Budget (tabled until the October 17, 1978 meeting) 5 ayes Motion carried b~yor Cox approved Councilman b~ller approved Councilman Reimann approved Councilman Mickelson approved Councilman Gamec approved CITIZEN INPUT Mr. Bill Springer of the Ramsey Lions asked if anyone would be interested in joining their organization. He stated the Lions want to help and serve people and if anyone knows of someone needing help to please call the Lions. They had contributed $20,000.00 to put the park equipment and safxd in at Ramsey Elementary. At present they are helping one boy who is losing his signt and another they paid his fare to California as he is dying of cancer. If anyone is interested in joining they hold their meetings at DeZiel's every first and third Wednesday of every month. Mayor Cox thanked him for coming and told him how much their work is greatly appreciated by the Council and the Community.
