Regular Council <br />Page 4 <br />December 11, 1978 <br /> <br />It was the general concensus to get salaries ironed out for Council <br />approval by December 18, 1978. <br />Councilman Gamec withdrew his motion and Councilman Mickelson withdrew his 2nd. <br />COUNCIL NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />REZONING FROM R-1 TO COMMERCIAL AN~ LIMITED INDUSTRIAL; CASE OF JACK <br /> <br />MENKVELD <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilman Muller to set <br />for a public hearing on this request as Mr. Menkveld changed the area he <br />was requesting for rezoning and that this should also go back to Planning <br />and Zoning. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Councilman Gamec, Councilman Mickelson, Council- <br />man Reimann, Councilman Muller and Mayor Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR HOME OCCUPATION TO SELL DOLL FURNITURE AND <br /> <br />ACCESSORIES; CASE OF JEAN SCHLUETER <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Gamec to approve <br />the home occupation permit of Mrs. Jean Schlueter to manufacture and sell <br />miniature doll house furniture and accessories in her home subject to <br />Planning and Zoning recommendations. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Councilman Gamec, Councilman Mickelson, Council- <br />man Reimann, Councilman Muller and Mayor Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br />SIGN ORDINANCE <br /> <br />A general discussion of the sign ordinance was held. It was recommended <br />to the Council that they should adopt the following areas into the sign <br />ordinance: <br /> <br />1) Provide for bond, license and insurance for firm installing the sign. <br />2) Provide for professional engineer to review blue prints on proposed sign <br /> and sign them off. <br />3) Provide for UL label on electrical signs <br />4) Provide for fee on a square footage basis. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilman Reimann to not <br />adopt a resolution for setting an annual fee for signs. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Councilman MiCkelson, Councilman Gamec, Council- <br />man Reimann, Councilman Muller and Mayor Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br />It should be noted the Council took no action on the other recommendations. <br /> <br />CITY INVOLVEMENT REQUESTED REGARDING BITUMINOUS SURFACING OF MR. SCULLY'S <br />DRIVEWAY APPROACH TO PARK <br /> <br />Mr. Scully was requesting the City place a bitu~ninous mat onhis driveway <br />approach so the City could use his drive as an approach to the park for <br />mowing of grass, etc. <br /> <br /> <br />
