CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Members Absent: <br />• <br />Also Present: <br />Mayor Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Jill Johns <br />Councilmember Mark Kuzma <br />Councilmember John LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Chris Riley <br />Councilmember Melody Shryock <br />Councilmember Kristine Williams <br />City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Police Chief Jeff Katers <br />Parks and Assistant Public Works Superintendent Mark Riverblood <br />Public Works Superintendent Grant Riemer <br />Community Development Director Timothy Gladhill <br />City Engineer Bruce Westby <br />Asst. City Administrator/Economic Development Manager Patrick Brama <br />City Attorney Joe Langel <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Strommen called the regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council to order at 7:02 p.m., <br />followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Mayor Strommen. <br />2. PRESENTATION <br />Mayor Strommen noted that there is a group of students from Anoka present tonight and <br />provided the group with the opportunity to introduce themselves. <br />Caitlyn, Anoka Middle School for the Arts, stated that this group of students in participating in <br />the Samsung Soul for Tomorrow that uses STEM skills to attempt solve a major issue in the <br />community. <br />Note: The Secretary was unable to hear all the names of the students who spoke; therefore, <br />speakers will be recognized as "student". <br />Student stated that the issue they have chosen is homelessness and they hope to assist in getting <br />more people off of the street. <br />City Council / January 26, 2016 <br />Page 2 of 13 <br />
