Ms. Norris stated that City Attorney Goodrich advises that due to the nature of <br />the request, the Commission draft findings of fact after the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Hendriksen and seconded by Commissioner Howell to table <br />this case pending: <br /> <br />1) An opinion from the City Attorney regarding the legality of the public <br /> hearing notice; <br />2) A review of the request by the City Engineer; and <br />3) A review of the request by the Airport Commission. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Chairman Zimmerman would like to know how the request will <br />fit in with the findings of the Highway #10 Corridor Study. Commissioner <br />Howell would like to view the video tape before the findings of fact are <br />drafted. Chairman Zimmerman would like to see some photographs of the site and <br />other operations managed by Barton Sand and Gravel Company. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />Howell, Holm, Shumway, and LaDue. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Request For Metes And Bounds Subdivision; Case of Ms. Kathy <br /> <br />Mr. David Tranby explained to the Commission that he and his wife would like to <br />subdivide their property on the west side of County Road #83 south of 173rd <br />Avenue NW into three 3.3 acre lots, one of which would access directly onto <br />County Road #83 and two that would be accessed by a road serving those two <br />parcels. <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman asked to see the proposed alignment for County Road #83. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that we haven't received it from the County yet. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to table <br />this case pending sketch plan of the plat, comments from Anoka County and the <br />City Engineer regarding accesses, drawing of proposed County Road #83, and City <br />Council meeting minutes from 1986 regarding previous subdivision of ten acres <br />adjacent to this property. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Mr. Tranby stated that the map the Commissioners received <br />is incorrect. <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman stated that Mr. and Mrs. Tranby should go through minor <br />subdivision and sketch plan and plat the lots, and in the meantime talk to the <br />County Engineer. <br /> <br />Mr. Tranby stated that they have spoken to the County and they told them to <br />talk to the City regarding the platting process. <br /> <br />Commissioner Howell withdrew his motion and Commissioner Hendriksen withdrew <br />his second to the motion. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to table <br />this case until Mr. Tranby returns with a sketch plan and a letter from the <br />County Engineer regarding the alignment of County Road #83. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Mrs. Tranby asked for a verification if it is to be <br />platted as a minor subdivision or a metes and bounds subdivision. <br /> <br />Planning & Zoning Commission/September 1, 1987 <br /> Page 4 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
