The Commission reviewed the zoning of residential property located outside of <br />the 1990 Urban Area boundary and within the general Urban Area boundary. The <br />Commission also reviewed Mr. Schaumberg's request for clarification of his <br />parcel. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Shumway and seconded by Commissioner Zimmerman to <br />recommend that Mr. Schaumberg's property and the remainder of the 40 acre <br />parcel be rezoned to R-1U. <br /> <br />Further discussion: The Commission noted that minutes of the City Council's <br />discussion regarding Mr. Schaumberg's property would be helpful. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shumway withdrew his motion and Commissioner Zimmerman withdrew <br />his second. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Shumway and seconded by Commissioner Zimmerman to table <br />action on this item to the February 3 meeting when additional background <br />information will be available. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Shumway, <br />Zimmerman, Deemer, Hendriksen and LaDue. Voting no: None. Absent: <br />Commissioner Hc~ell. <br /> <br />Case #6: ~ <br /> <br />The Commission resumed reviewing Mr. Raudio's proposal for a planned unit <br />development. (Note: At this time, Commissioner LaDue left the meeting. ) The <br />Commission reviewed the City Engineer's comments and noted that the covenants <br />should be revised to show that the northern 200 feet shall be used for <br />residential purposes only, that driveways should be surfaced with blacktop or <br />concrete. The re~ainder of each parcel may be used for commercial/industrial <br />activities. The Commission reviewed the City Attorney's memo and noted that <br />the covenants need additional work with respect to screening, landscaping, <br />performance standards, si~nage and outside storage. <br /> <br />The Commission requested that the covenants be revised and the revisions be <br />reviewed by the City Engineer and Attorney. The Commission also requested <br />information on 149th Avenue N.W. The Commission agreed to review Mr. Raudio's <br />proposal on February 3. <br /> <br />Case #10: Discussion Reqardinq Minor Subdivision of Property East of <br /> Pondvale Estates: Case of Mr. Art Raudio <br /> <br />Mr. Raudio stated that he would like to subdivide the property south of 149th <br />Lane N.W. and east of Pondvale Estates into two parcels and one outlot. The <br />two lots would access on to 149th Lane N.W.
