I <br />i <br /> <br /> I <br /> i <br /> I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />i <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Draft <br /> <br />Councilmember <br />its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following Resolution and moved for <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION <br />City of Ramsey <br />Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at its December 21, 1982 meeting, the Ramsey City Council <br />discussed the per diem payment to citizens (excluding City Councilmembers, Staff <br />members and consultants) who are appotnte~ to Metropolitan Council committees <br />and/or other state and county advisory committees; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council directed its Personnel Committee to review, <br />report and make recommendations to the full Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee has reviewed this question and made its <br />recommendation to the Council. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Ramsey City Council as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. That any citizen appointed to a City Council standing committee, <br />Metropolitan Council, State and/or County advisorY committee by the Ramsey City <br />Council may, when specifically authorized by council resolution, receive a.per <br />diem payment of $25.00 per meeting from the citY of Ramsey for meeting <br />attendance. Th~s does not include parking or mileage. <br /> <br /> 2. That in those instances where an individual receives a per diem from <br />the agency establishing the committee on which he is to serve, he shall not <br />receive an additional per diem from the City. <br /> ~~That ~h .~CitY)~j/~f'Ramsey~shal~ pay~.~bo~~e~ ~d <br /> ~em' to ~e <br /> f o ~ ~0 ~ ~.~ ~ ~ ~t~ e ~a,~~ {~- .......... <br /> <br /> 4. ~at any individual who applies to the City for a per diem payment <br />shall, prior to payment, supply a statement to the City from the committee on <br />which he serves indicating that the individual does not receive a per diem <br />directly from the co~ittee and, if applicable, advise the City of the mileage <br />and parking allowance he does receive from the co~ittee. <br /> <br /> 5. The mileage and parking allowance an individual may receive from a <br />committee shall not he deemed to be a per diem payment for the purpose of this <br />Resolution except in those instances where the meeting is held within the City <br />of Ramsey's boundaries. It shall not be the City's-policy to pay committee <br />members mileage or parking allowance for attendance.at meetings held within the <br />City's Boundaries. -' <br /> <br /> <br />
