Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann <br />and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. Abstain: Councilmember Schlueter. <br /> <br />I <br />i <br />I <br /> <br />Council recessed at 7:45 P.M. for a reception for new members. <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting back to order at 8:03 P.M. <br />ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING <br /> <br /> Case #1: 1983 Council Organizational Meeting: <br /> <br />a) Appoint Acting Mayor: <br /> <br />Motion by'Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to <br />appoint Councilmember Reimann as Acting Mayor for the year 1983. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />b) Appoint/Reappoint Council Standing Committees: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg, <br />for discussion, to appoint Councilmembers to the following standing committees: <br /> <br />1) Budget Committee - <br /> <br />2) Personnel Committee <br /> <br />Councilmember Van Wagner <br />Mayor Gamec <br /> <br />- Councilmember schlueter <br /> Councilmember Sorteberg <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />! <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Sorteberg inquired if the subject committees <br />are limited to two persons. City Attorney Goodrich informed Councilmember <br />Sorteberg that it is the best policy. Councilmember Reimann stated that he <br />would like to serve on the Personnel Committee with Councilmember Sorteberg. <br />Councilmember Van Wagner stated that she is leaving her motion as stated. <br /> <br />Motion failed. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec and Councilmember Van Wagner.
