It's in a different capacity than the commissions. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann stated that mileage and meals should be considered in this. <br />He recommends the City expend $25 per meeting plus mileage and meals. <br /> <br />It was agreed upon to recommend to the City Council that a per diem rate of $25 <br />plus expenses be paid to citizens (excluding Council and City Staff) who serve <br />on an advisory committee or in another manner. This per diem would only be paid <br />provided authorized by Council when appointing said person and further only those <br />meetings attended during the normal working hours of 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. <br />would qualify for per diem payment. <br /> <br />The Council secretary's salary was briefly discussed. <br /> <br />.Motion'by Councilman Sorteberg and seconded by Councilman Reimann to recommend to <br /> the City Council to raise the Council secretary's salary for taking ~inutes of <br /> regular and special Council meetings from $50 per meeting to $75.
