However, permits for sewer repairs, garages, etc. increased. Due to my involvement in the varied administrative duties that seemingly continue to increase, I have had Lester doing the majority of the inspections for most of the past month. He has indicated he has no problems with this however, it must be noted that it will be necessary for me to spend more time with the building department in the near future not only because of the additional work coming in but because of the nature of that work. I think it is essential that we determine where some of the duties shift as it becomes necessary. If I had any good suggestions I would make them at this point. For.your information I recently kept the time necessary for preparing the paperwork (no typing included) for a conditional use permit and a bbard of adjustment variance. The board of adjustment variance took two and one half hours while the conditional use permit took some three hours plus. This was time that was basically uninterrupted.
