The Council Budget Committee will be meeting with Staff <br />in August 1983. It will be going to the Council at the end of August <br />or first of September 1983. <br /> <br />3) General - The following is submitted under this item: <br /> <br />a) Police Labor Negotiations for 1984 - We will be meeting and conferring <br /> with this appropriate unit commencing in July for the year 1984. <br /> <br />b) Other Employee Negotiations - These will be commencing in June 1983 <br /> and will take some time due to a number of things they want to discuss. <br /> <br />4) Conclusion - During the past two years the workload here in the City of <br />Ramsey has increased enormously which is due to a number of things. It alarms <br />me as it seems like we are having a very difficult time maintaining just a <br />status quo. What I mean by that is accomplishing day to day tasks. T guess <br />this all goes with a growth City such as Ramsey but it seems like these past <br />five months have been extremely difficult ones and I hope the next seven months <br />change. If there isn't a change we are going to have to take a serious look <br />at the City being able to maintain certain standards. Consequently, when we <br />prepare the 1984 Budget we are going to be t~king a very serious look at what <br />the past five months have represented and frankly right now I don't see a change <br />in things. <br /> <br />LGS:pjc <br /> <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
