At least two (2) inches of filter material shall be pieced over the ~lateral or d~stributJon pipes. 18, Straw or marsh bay to an uncompacted depth of three (3) to four (4) inches shall be placed over the filter material. 19, Construction vehicles shall not be allowed on the filter material until,backfi]l is placed. · · 20. Sandy loam soil shall be placed on the filter material to a depth of one (1) foot in the center of the mound and to a depth of six (6) ~nches at the sides. 21, A maximum of two (2) ten (10) foot wide beds may be in- stal]ed side by side in a single mound if the soil percolation rate is between five (5) and sixty (60) minutes per inch to a depth of at ],east twenty-four (24) inches below the sand layer. The beds shall be ,separated by four (4) feet of sand. 22. When two (2) beds are installed side by side, the sandy loam fill at the center of the mound shall be eigbteen (18) inches deep and six (6) inches deep at the sides. 23. Six (6) inches of topsoil shall be placed on the fill material over the entire area of the mound. 24. A vegetative cover shall be established over the enti~e area of the mound. 25. No shrubs shall be planted on the top of the mound. Shrubs may be placed at the foot and side slopes of the mound. 26. The side slopes on the mound shall be no steeper than three (3) to one (1). 27. ~enever mounds are located on slopes, a diversion shall be constructed immediately upslope from the mound to intercept and direct runoff. 150.01411 ]990 URBAN SERVICE AREA ALTEI%WATIVES Subd. I (;I.iNE }LtX, L Sanitary sewer service is expected to be available to the 1990 Urban Service Area by ]985. The 1990 Urban Service Area property owner shall remain responsible for individual waste disposal until such time that the sewer connection is effected. Urban area lot dimensions tend to be more restrictive for certain methods of waste disposal. It is the purpose of this chapter to provide the urban service area with alterna- tives to the long-term approach of individual waste treatment hereto- before outlined in this ordinance. Such alternatives will allow for "temporary" treatment until such time that the property is connected to the muniicipal sewer. Systems described herein are not applicable to the ],990 rural and transition areas (as defined in Chapter 170.012B as the systems are not considered to be long-term disposal methods.
