I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE 83- <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br />Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 110 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE 'HEALTH, SAFETY AND <br />WELFARE' CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING CHAPTER 110.19 TO THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA, <br />WHICH CHAPTER SHALL BE ENTITLED 'BURNING PERMITS'. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Ramsey hereby ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION <br /> <br />Chapter 110 of the City Code is hereby amended by the addition of the <br />following: <br /> <br />110.191 Open Burning Prohibited. It shall be unlawful, a violation of <br />this Ordinance and a misdemeanor for any person to start or allow to burn <br />any open fire on any property within the City of Ramsey without a permit, <br />except for supervised recreational or cooking fires contained within <br />approved fire rings, pits or barbecue grills. <br /> <br />Any person, persons, firm or corporatio~ who shall fail to comply with any <br />order given under the terms of this Ordinance, or who shall in any way <br />violate any of the provisions or requirements of this ordinance, shall be <br />guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by <br />a fine of not to exceed $500.00 or by imprisonment for not to exceed 90 <br />days, or both. <br /> <br />110.192 Rules Adopted by Reference. Chapter Eight, State of Minnesota Air <br />Pollution Control Rules Current Edition as amended May 13, 1976 is hereby <br />adopted by reference and is made a part of this Ordinance as if fully set <br />forth herein, three copies of which are on file with the City Clerk in the <br />City of Ramsey. Any violation of the Chapter herein adopted by reference <br />is a violation of this Ordinance. <br /> <br />110.193 Person Designated to Issue Permits. The City Building Official <br />Deputy Clerk and/or Police Secretary are hereby authorized to issue permits <br />under this Ordinance and may establish reasonable permit conditions for <br />open burning consistent with the rules adopted herein. The signature of <br />either official is necessary for a permit to be issued. <br /> <br />SECTION 2- <br /> <br />EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> <br />This ordinance becomes effective upon its passage and publication according to <br />law. <br /> <br />PASSED by the City Council this <br /> <br />day of June 1983. <br /> <br />ATTEST: Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator/Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
