Mr. Lilja replied that his accounting firm does not have expertise in the field of bond markets. The regular Council meeting adjourned at 7:41 in order to conduct the following Board of Adjustment. 1. Mr. Bob Muller's request for a variance. The Board of Adjustment adjourned at 7:50 p.m. and regular meeting was called back to order. Councilmember Sorteberg stated that Mayor Gamec's suggestion regarding grading down the corner of 160th and Cty Rd. #47 is a good idea~, that the view of traffic on Cry. Rd. #47 is even obstructed by the growth of tall grass. Street Superintendent 'M~le Mevissen stated that there is a utility pole in that. area and that ~e would check with the electric company to see how much dirt' can be .removed from around that pole. Motion by Councilmerkber Reima~n an~ seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg authorizing the City Street Superintendent to survey the traffic situation at the intersection of i60th and Cry. Rd. #47 and report back to Council. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmen%bers Sorteberg, Reimann ~nd Schlueter. Voting No: None. Abstain: Mayor Gamec. Absent: Councilmember Van Wagner. The regular meeting adjourned at 7:52 p.m. in order to conduct the following public hearing: 1. Street Improvement Project #83-2 regarding 167th Avenue NWto Jaspar Street NW. The regular Council meeting was called back to order at 8:25 p.m. COUNCIL OLD BUSINESS Case #3: Adoption Of Resolution Calling For Assessment Of Improvement Project #83-2 (167th Avenue NW and Jaspar Street NW): City Attorney Goodrich noted that Council is at the assessment portion of the procedure, that Council is not discussing whether or not to order the project in. Mr. Goodrich stated that Council has 3 options regarding the Hunt property: 1. Place the property on the assessment rolls. 2. Do no place the property on the assessment rolls. 3. Defer assessment until a designated future year, or upon platting of property or upon construction of improvements on property. Mr. Goodrich noted that if assessment is deferred, interest could begin at this time or with platting of property or with construction of improvements on property. C/June 28, 1983 Page 4 of 20
