ARTICLE 3. SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED BY CONSULTANT <br />Section 3.01. CONSULTANT'S SERVICES. The City hereby retains Consultant, on a non-exclusive basis, <br />for the purpose of advising and consulting with the City on matters related to, but not necessarily limited <br />to some or all of the following services: <br />• General municipal engineering <br />• Traffic engineering and transportation planning <br />• Structural and architectural engineering <br />• Mechanical and electrical engineering <br />• Landscaping, urban design, and urban planning <br />• Right-of-way services <br />• Registered land surveying activities <br />• Natural resources and environmental services <br />• Water/wastewater engineering <br />• Miscellaneous specialty/technical services identified by the City <br />(the "Services"). <br />The City shall use the QBSP to procure consultant services through either request for proposals or direct <br />selection as allowed by City policy. This process may consider such items as consultant fees, workload, <br />expertise, and past performance of proposing consulting firms or any of its representatives. <br />The precise scope of services, schedule, and compensation on any given project shall be as detailed in <br />the Letter of Engagement issued by the City. The Letter of Engagement may incorporate some or all of <br />the Services, as well as other additional services that may not be identified within this Agreement. <br />Professional services provided under this Agreement will be conducted in a manner consistent with that <br />level of care and skill ordinarily exercised by members of the Consultant's profession currently <br />practicing under similar conditions. No warranty, express or implied, is made. <br />Section 3.02. METHOD OF PERFORMING SERVICE(S). Consultant shall recommend to the City, for its <br />approval, the method, details, and means of performing the selected Service(s). Said scope of services <br />shall be included in the specific Letter of Engagement for a particular project. <br />Section 3.03. PLACE OF WORK. Consultant shall base the performance of the selected Services at its <br />own business location or such other location as Consultant may determine. The City is not required to <br />provide office, technical or clerical support services to Consultant; but the City at its discretion may <br />chose to do so for specific tasks and/or projects. <br />Section 3.04. TIME OF PERFORMANCE. Consultant shall submit for the City's approval a schedule for <br />the performance of the selected Service(s) which schedule may be adjusted by mutual consent as the <br />Service(s) proceed. This schedule shall include allowances for periods of time required for the City's <br />review. Time limits established by this schedule, and approved by the City, shall not be exceeded by <br />2 <br />
