I
I
I
!
I
I
I
I
I
i
I
I
I
I
I
i
I
I
I

TO:

FROM:

RE:

DATE:

City AdminiDtrator

City Assessor

Staff Report

August 19, 1982

I will be attending Course H at the Highway Training Center (New Brighton)
next week, August 23 - 27. I also will be attending a seminar September
15 - 17 down at the Holiday Inn International in Bloomington. Both the
seminar and Course H are required for accreditation.

The ratio study you are receiving in this agenda has four parcels ~hat sold
for a large amount more than my estimated market value. I am leaving it up
to the Council to decide what if anything should be done. My values were
arrived at by the same formula that was used on all similar property within
the same area.

The results from the rental value of land throughout the City of Ramsey is
also in this agenda. The calculation is the average rental per acre in the
City of Ramsey. The County Assessor still has a right to change this but
we have some facts to go on.

At our last Assessor's meeting, the County Assessor informed us that getting
all properties transferred over for computer is top priority at the present
time. He said to waive the '83 assessment viewing if necessary. I have
started the viewing but will do all the transferring first and see what time
I have left. Mr. Leone said he could state in a letter that the '83 viewing
could be waived if Council so desires one.

I have pretty much covered inspections for the last tw~ weeks. Clayton has
been busy with Lloyd. in other matters.

This concludes my report.

Submitted by,

Lester D. Wirz
City Assessor
