I

I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

PARK PROJECTS FOR 1982

1) Paint Backstops on Lower Field at School:
'Iq]ese were built with used pipe and the rust keeps coming through.

2) _I~_v.el I~pt in Gorham's Sandy Acres:

This is a lot that Gary Gotham donated to the City and we have to level it
so we can mow it. It will be suitable for a small ballfield.

3) Grade and Cable Parking I~t for School Ballfields:

%~]ere is a great need for a marked off parking area because people are driving
right next to the ballfields during games and sooner or later someone is 9oing
to get hit by a car.

4) Install Cable Fence in Brookview Park:

5~%e homeowner next to the park is upset because people from the park wander
onto his property.

5) Level and Clean Park on 154th Lane West of Armstrong Blvd.:

Homeowners on both sides of this park said they would keep it mowed if we would
level it off. It is very uneven and has big rocks and chunks of concrete and
old b~rbed wire on it. It could use some fill dirt to level it off and cover
some of the debris.

6) Put CL-5 on Steps in Gotham Park:

Last year a boy scout did some work in this park for a project. He installed
railroad ties for steps but we never finished them with a material that packs.

7) Repair Fence at Trott Brook Cemetary:
Some of the posts are rusted off and need to be replaced.

8) Level Park in Forest Hideaway:

This is a low priority item; if ballfields are put in on federal property, this
park can remain as is.

9) Put Swing Set in Titterud Park:

We ]]ave parts from swing sets left over from other parks and I think I can make
up a set for this park. It would fit in good with the play structure that was
installed there last year.

10) Paint Park Equipment:
All park equipment needs touching up with paint.
