Workman's Comp patients get priority, as a Dr. is on
24 hr. call. The Dr. would then dictate a report to the city relating to the
injury and if employee so chooses may see his/her Dr. also. This method of handling
would keep the city/employee/Dr all working together, so as to not have future
incidents of claiming injuries unknown to the city.

A 20% reduction fee is' available to Police for physical check-ups.

Councilman Reimann stated that he is in favor of a 1-2 year physical for Police
Officers and also new employees having pre-placement exam.

Chief Auspos commented on a big factor, stress, which then is heart related. By
regular check-ups, this can be followed closely. Also mental checks should be done.

For new employees, there is a form Ms. Jensen explained, the employee would have
a pre-placement exam, which is then signed by the employee, so the city is then
covered by the employee's statement.

Case #2 POLICE SEMIN~

Chief Auspos discussed the upcoming Interrogation Seminar, December 9 & 10 that
he and Officer Kuhn would like to attend. Total cost is $160.00

Councilman Reimann made recomendation, seconded by Councilman Sorteberg that Chief
Auspos and Officer Kuhn attend the seminar. -

Personnel Committee
October 6, 1982
Page 1
