I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 82- <br /> <br /> City of Ramsey <br />Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />An Ordinance amending Chapter 170.01 entitled "ZONING" of the City Code by adding <br />provisions for the regulation and use of manufactured housing within the City. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Ramsey, Anoka County, Minnesota does hereby ordain as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. AMENDMENT. The following section is hereby added to Chapter 170.01: <br /> <br />Section 170.014N b~NUFACTURED HOUSING <br /> <br />170.014N(1) Purpose. The purpose of this section is to provide for <br />manufactured housing in ,Gu~v.ided or unsubdivided-~deve-t, opments in safe~ <br />attractive residential neighborhoods with desired amenities similar to other <br />residential housing without economically or aesthetically injuring property <br />adjacent to such housing. In addition, the City recognizes (1) that <br />manufactured houses on permanent foundations in the City would provide many <br />residents with decent, safe and affordable housing, (2) that the National <br />Mobile Home Construction and Safety Standards Act of 1974, 42 U.S.C. et seq <br />establishes federal mobile home construction and safety standards and <br />requires all mobile homes produced after June 15, 1976 to have federal <br />certification, (3) that Chapter 490 of Minnesota Session Laws for 1982 <br />prohibits the unconditional banning of manufactured homes from residential <br />zones if the manufactured home complies with Minnesota Statutes, Section <br />327.31 to 327.35, and (4) that improved techniques and materials have made <br />many manufactured homes virtually indistinguishable from conventional <br />housing and have decreased the cost of residential housing. <br /> <br />170.014N(2) Manufactured Houses Authorized. Placements of manufactured <br />houses in residential zoning districts within the City is authorized upon <br />compliance with the following conditions and upon compliance with ail other <br />conditions of the City Code except those City Code conditions which may be <br />at variance with the following conditions: <br /> <br />Manufactured houses shall comply with all zoning regulations for the <br />zone in which they are located. <br /> <br />A building permit and any other required permits shall be obtained for <br />such manufactured housing. <br /> <br /> <br />
