CASE GREEN ACRES <br /> #6: , <br /> <br /> (D2-b) <br /> <br /> NOTE: <br /> <br /> in th <br /> <br />r--- <br /> <br />Council, at their regular meeting of June 22, 1982 directed City Staff to <br />acquire a letter from the State Revenue Department stating that the City <br />of Ramsey could establish the market value on farmland in the City of Ramsey. <br />The purpose of this action was to inform the County that the City Assessor <br />would establish the market value on all Green Acre farmland in the City of <br />Ramsey. <br /> <br />Accordingly, enclosure (D2-b) is forwarded for your information which con- <br />tains a letter from Mr. Lyle Ask and a Minnesota Department of Revenue <br />Bulletin regarding computing of property valuations. <br /> <br />Council Action: In view of the above, I am enclosing a letter for Council <br />approval which will be to inform County Officials that the City of Ramsey's <br />Assessor will establish market valuatio~ on all the agricultural land that <br />falls within the purview of the Green Acres Law. Please refer to enclosure <br /> for letter that is to be signed by Councilmembers which will be sent <br />to the County. Council should accomplish this by motion. The following <br />proposed motion is hereby submitted for your consideration: <br /> <br /> Motion by and seconded by to direct the City <br /> Administrator to prepare the letter as contained in enclosure (D2-b) <br /> to County Commissioner Edward Fields with copies going to the County <br /> Administrator and the County Assessor~which pertains to the City of <br /> Ramsey's establishing the estimated market value on all tillable lands <br /> the City of Ramsey. ~ ~/ <br /> in <br /> <br /> Voting no <br /> <br /> Council has received as part of e~losure (D2-b) the Minnesota Dept. <br />of Revenue Bulletin dated September 1981. This bulletin establishes the <br />procedure to be used in setting estimated market valuations on properties <br />in the State of Minnesota. Council's major concern was the establishing <br />of estimated market valuations on residential properties that had a conditional <br />use permit granting an individual the right to operate his commercial business <br /> <br /> <br />
