I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I TO: City Administrator FROM: Building Official RE: Monthly Report DATE: April 19, 1982 Housing showed some signs of improvement with four starts for the month. This is quite an improvement over the three starts in the previous three months. Work is proceeding well on the lower level and the contractor anticipates completion by April 26, 1982. Some of the energy conservation items (i.e. water heater and thermostats) have been completed. The other items should be completed in the near future. I have talked to Mr. Gilbertson on the letter he was previously sent regarding his need for a conditional use permit, sign and building permit. He has indicated his intent to comply even though he strongly feels that he is not being treated fairly. However, he has not been in to make any of the necessary applications except for the building permit that has not been issued. I have not received any further information on our boiler system since my last memo. I will cover this by separate reports as information becomes available. I would also note that a number of battery packs on the emergency lighting as well as on the exit lights have failed. Inasmuch as I will have quotes available at the next Council meeting for the wiring of the community billboard, I will also get quotes for replacing the battery packs.
