This property was placed in an exempt <br />status for payable 1981. <br /> <br />State Statute 272.68, Subdivision 1 states "when the State <br />or a political subdivision of the State, except the State <br />Transportation Department, acquires a fee interest in <br />property before forfeiture, by any means, provision must <br />be made to pay all taxes ..... " And further, "taxes <br />lawfully levied shall not be abated." <br /> <br />We, therefore, feel an abatement of these taxes is not <br />justifiable and your application must be rejected. <br /> <br />Very truly yours, <br /> <br />Charles R.
