Cox:

~' I appreciate your thoughtful and realistic concern on changes
in workers' compensation;

We want you ho stay in Minnesota. That is, the IR Senators
want you to stay in Minnesota. The DFL Senators have con-
sistently belittled ~he concerns of employers on workers'
compensation.

Only sub,an%iai reform in workers' compensation will bring our
premium costs into competitive level.

The ongoing problem we have in the Senate is that the IR Senators
are outnumbered by the DFLers on a ratio of one to two. Any
assistance you can be in the coming election to redress this
imbalance would be critical.

lSincerely~.

~'~JJ~ES ULLAND
State Senator

JU: rp

I
I
I
I

C()MMITTEES · Chairman Minnesota Grcat Lakes Commission · Energy and Housing · Natural
Resources and Agriculture · Tax Committee
