CASE

Yoor action at this time will be to approve/disapprove soliciting
price quotes from the area vets for the clinic.

ESTABLISHMENT OF CITY POLICY REGARDING THE APPOINTING OF TWO

COUNCIL MEMBERS TO SERVE ON A COUNCIL STANDING SUBCOMMITTEE OR TO
SERVE ON A COUNCIL AD HOC COMMITTEE:

CASE #5:

Enclosure (D3-c) contains a proposed resolution which Council
should adopt as it establishes a Council policy for Council mem-
bers when two (2) Council members serve on the same Council
standing sobcommittee or a Council Ad Hoc Committee. This
proposed resolution should keep Council members away from prob-
lems that would be in conflict with the State law.

Council Action: Your action will be to approve/disapprove of the
above resolution. The following motion is hereby submitted for
your consideration in this case: ~
Motion by ~nd seconded by to
approve/di~~e r~s~lution #82-___. establishing
Council policy when two Council persons are appointed
to a Council standing subcommittee or an Ad Hoc Committee.
Please refer to resolution fil%~or resolution #82~.
Motion carried. Voting yes ~ ~ · Voting no

ADDITION TO COM$~ERCIAL BUILDING; CASE OF RALPH DICKENSON:

Mr. Ralph Dickenson of Dickenson Bus Lines, Inc. is requesting
~othorization to proceed with the completion of his addition that
was red tagged for not having a building permit. The structure
is an 18 x 60 lean-to on the south side of his building. Accord-
ing to Mr. Dickenson, this is a temporary addition and will be
removed to allow for the permanent structure previously proposed
by him. The new addition he hopes to have built by September 13,
1982.

Mr. Dickenson has agreed to enter into an agreement to comply
with what he has proposed as well as post a $1,000 bond as a
financial guarantee.

We would recommend that if such an agreement can be made, that
no building permits be issued. The building code does not
speak of temporary structures and the issuance of a permit
indicates permanance if the cod& is 6omplied with.

Enclosure (D3-d) is a copy of an agreement drafted for your
approval in this case.
