I I I ! Councilmember Reimann agreed with Councilmember Cox. We ~]~ou]d leave the parcels in ouestion as B-1 with more restrictive septic systems. Mayor Gamec - Technically, rezoning would not change anything, it just helps us out on the Comprehensive Plan. Councilmember Sorteberg stated that ~he doesn't feel it will make any difference in the i~ediate future and to be consistent with the property across the street, the City should leave it as rezoned. Mayor Gamec recalled that the business property owners did not mind the rezoning and septic restrictions. The real objections came from industrial property owners. I I I Counci]member Reimann stated that he has talked with Mr. Muller and Mr. Moroz and they feel they have a lot of money invested and would rather the property remain as B-1. Mr. Schne].le stated that he also has talked with Mr. Muller and that Mr. Muller does not feel the property on which his store is situated should be ~on~ any differently than the Tom Thumb market on #56. Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to rescind previous action to rezone that property lying north- west of the intersection of 167th Avenue ~7 and State Highway #47 which property is specifically legally described as follows: That part of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 lying southerly of the Klemish Addition and westerly of State Highway #47 and that part of the Northeast 1/4 lying southerly and easterly of Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minne- sota. '~ Further Discussion: Coun~itmember Sorteberg stated that he would probably approve if there were a valid reason for leaving the property across the street as RB-1A. Councilmember Cox stated that he is not in favor of forcing sewer into this area but that he also doesn't feel property should be rezoned after a substantial investment has been made on the property. Motion Denied: Voting Yes: Councilmembers Cox and Reimann. Voting No: Councilmembers Van Wagner, Sorteberg and Mayor Gamec. Case #3 Appointment/Reappointment of Persons to the Planning and Zoning commission: Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to appoint the following to the Planning and Zoning Commission, based on the recommendations contained in the Planning and Zoning Commission minutes dated February 2, 1982: Appoint Mr. Charles LaDue to a four (4) year term which expires December 31, 1985.
