His property was split <br />by Cot~ty Rd. #56, and he would like the parcel on the west side of #56 <br />tr¢_~ated as a separate parcel of record. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to <br />adopt Resolution #82-1~ stating that parcel of land (Plat 89222, Parcel <br />3~00) located on the west side of Cry. Rd. #56 be declared a parcel of <br />record, existing prior to April, 1972, dua to a separation from the main <br />parcel by Anoka County at the time County P~ad #56 (Ramsey Blvd.) <br />cons truc ted. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor GArn~c, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #3 Amending of Chapter 170.01 of the City Code Regarding House Size, <br /> Request For; Case of Best Hon~s: <br /> <br />Mr. Phil Best was present at the m~eting and requasted that City Council <br />consider amending the house size ordinance to reduce the present requirements <br />for split entry or split foyer type houses. He stated that it vx~uld <br />bring the cost of construction down and more people could afford to build <br />in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Mayor Gam~c stated that he prefers to leave the house size ordinance as is. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that the. City of Ramsey could not afford the <br />increased cost of public services to residents if there was an increase <br />in population. <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg feels the City b~.~ no business telling people what <br />size home they have to build, but he is also not ready to put it in writing. <br /> <br />Phil Best stated that Council was elected to represent the homeowners and <br />that this request ccmes from hopeful homaowners. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that there is a high cost of living in the City of Ramsey, <br />and first-time homeowners should probably not build in Ramsey.
