The second bidder, Lehn <br />Electric b~d $288.00 for a comparable unit. <br /> <br />would recommend an award to H.E.C., Inc. for this work. <br /> <br />Item #5 - Furnish and Install 40 gallon Electric Water Heater <br /> <br />T]~ere were two bidders for this item with the low bidder being Lehn <br />Electric in the amount of $555.00. The second bidder was Dave Mickelson <br />in the amount of $568.26. Inasmuch as this is probably the area where <br />we will realize the greatest savings, I would recommend an award to the <br />]ow bidder. <br /> <br />Item #6 - Furnish and Install Cabana Fans <br /> <br />There were two bidders for this item with the low being from H.E.C., Inc. <br />in the amount of $681.00. The second bidder was only $7.00 higher so <br />they were very competitive. Therefore, it would be my recommendation <br />that the bid be awarded to H.E.C., Inc. <br /> <br />I also asked Heat Mizer Glass to give us a price for replacing the cracked <br />window units at the main entrance and in the fire department squad room. <br />They have indicated they will replace these two units for $135.OO if they <br />are awarded any of the other work. However, the price will be $165.OO if <br />they do not receive any other awards. <br /> <br />I will try to review this with Mr. Roger Meyer and Mr. Jack Menkveld <br />prior to the City Council meeting for their input. <br /> <br />CRB:sb <br /> <br /> <br />
