Mayor Gamec made an award presentation to City Attorney Goodrich for his <br />many years of dedicated service. <br /> <br />Case #4 Proposed Zoning Ordinance Language Change and Rezoning: <br /> <br />Noted by Council. City Attorney Goodrich recommended Council attend the <br />public hearing for Rezoning of Land to be held at 7:45 P.M., February 2, <br />1982, by the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />Case #5 Economic Development: 1) Formation of a Rams.ey Economic Development <br /> Commission; and 2) Establishment of a Local Development Corporation: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to adopt <br />or(tin~n(:e #82-1 ordering the formation of a Ramsey Economic Development <br />Commission. (Please refer to Ordinance file for Ordinance #82-1.) <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner, Cox, <br />Sorteberg and Reimann. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg <br />to appoint the following to the Ramsey Economic Development Commission for <br />a length of term as designated: <br /> <br />Mr. Donald Greenberg (Chairman) 3 years <br /> <br />Mr. Steve Schmidt - 3 years <br />Mr. Jack Schneider - 3 years <br />Mr. Joe Sentyrz - 3 years <br />Mr. Jim Gilbertson - 2 years <br />Mr. Darrell Jensen - 2 years <br />Mr. Darryl Fults - 2 years <br />Mrs. Astrid Guy - 2 years <br />Mr. Robert Muller - I year <br />Mr. Bill Miller - I year <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner, Cox, <br />Sorteberg and Reimann. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg <br />to adopt Resolution #82-6 in regards to salaries, meetings, etc. for Ramsey <br />Economic Development Commission members. (Please refer to Resolution file <br />for Resolution #82-6). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner, Cox, <br />Sorteberg and Reimann. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mr. Stephen M. Klein of Preferred Planning Services presented his proposal <br />for a Local Development Corporation for the City of Ramsey, which was <br />included in the agenda as D-2d. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that Council should be aware that the City is also going <br />to have some financial responsibilities involved if decision is made to go <br />with establishment of a Local Development Corporation. <br /> <br />Mr. Klein encouraged Council to proceed with Local Development Corporation, <br />that from all aspects, it will go extremely well in Ramsey. <br /> <br />C/January 26, 1982 <br /> Page 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
