I
I
I
I
I
!
i
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

into this man's operation whether he makes it in the business world.
However, the property tax law does play an extremely big role in this
area.

b)

Small Business - The small business i's one that we consider to be
from one to 20 employees.

Question - Does your party take this type of business into conSidera-
tion when it is considering tax laws, as this type of business is the
mainstay of many of our communities here in our State of Minnesota.

c)

Intermediate and Large Business - We have heard on a special television
program which took place this fall regarding Minnesota business climate
that present Minnesota tax laws are driving major industries out of
Minnesota or causing them to at least develop their new plants in States
that have tax laws that are favorable to them.

Question - Has your party looked into this situation and what corrective
action are you taking during the 1982 legislative session?

3) Organizations - The following organizatio~we have noted have been playing
a very important role to get legislature that would create a more favorable busi-
ness climate in the State of Minnesota;

a) National Association of Industries and Office Parts (NAIOP)

b) Minnesota Conference on Small Business

c) Minnesota Association of Commerce and Industry (MACI)

We are aware that these organizations are working extremeiy hard to get favorable
tax laws which would make Minnesota a viable place to expand or create new in-
dustries.

Question - Is your party working with these organizations in the development of
tax laws that are favorable to industries? As we all know, man or woman does
not have a very good quality of life unless he or she has a job.
