A. JOHNSON
ASSISTANT ANOKA COUNTY ATTORNEY

I

RE:

JOINT LAW ENFORCEMENT COUNCIL AGREEMENT

I
I
I
I
I
I
I

At its January 27, 1982 meeting, the Joint Law Enforcement
Council recommended that the joint powers agreement creaking
the Council be expanded to include the cities of Ramsey,
Lino Lakes, Circle Pines and Lexington. I have enclosed a
revised joint powers agreement which is modified to provide
for the addition of these governmental units. The Circle
Pines-Lexington Joint Municipal Police Commission is made a
party to remove any question of its separate existence.

This revised agreement will need Council action by all
current parties to the agreement and by the governmental
units which intend to become members. Please have the
Council consider the proposed joint powers agreement and
inform me of its action. I understand that there is a
significant meeting of the Council at the end of February.
Please act on this proposed agreement at your earliest
convenience.

After all parties have authorized entering into this agreement,
I will circulate a signature copy for all parties to sign.

I

I
I

RMAJ:svt
EBc.

Affirmative Action / Equal Opportunity Employer
