COUNTY OF ANOfIA <br /> <br />COURTHOUSE ANOKA, MINNESOTA 55303 612-421-4760 <br /> <br />The Honorable Tom fiamec <br />Hayor, City of Ramsey <br />5810 Neon St. N.W. <br />Anoka, Minnesota 55303 <br /> <br />February 18, 1982 <br /> <br />Dear Hayor Gamec: <br /> <br />Please find enclosed a resolution requesting congressional support and <br />assistance in the continuation of Anoka County as an Urban County in the <br />Conmunity Development Block Grant Program for Fiscal Year 1983 and 1984. <br />Anoka County has participated as an Urban County in FY 81 and 82. <br /> <br />It will be necessary again to receive special legislation to continue in <br />the program for FY 83 .and 84. All of Anoka County has benefited in the <br />'Con~nunity Development Block Grant Program thus far through the removal <br />of slum and blight and by addressing the many needs of the low and <br />moderate income of your communities. <br /> <br />I would ask that your con~nunity pass a similar resolution to be sent to <br />Congressman Vento with copies to Senators Durenberger and Boschwitz, <br />Congressmen Sabo and Oberstar. We have chosen to contact Congressman <br />Vento because of his seat in the Housing and Urban Development Sub- <br />Committee of the Banking, Finance, and Urban Affairs Committee.
