PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A public hearing was held Tuesday, February 2, 1982, at the Ramsey Municipal <br />Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota, regarding Amendment <br />of the City Zoning Districts. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairman Kenneth Peterson <br />Commissioner Ben Deemer <br />Commissioner Gerald Zimmerman <br />Commissioner Arthur Dunn <br />Commissioner Kathy Schneider <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Ronald West <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka <br />City Attorney Goodrich <br />City Administrator Schnelle <br />Building Official Berg <br />Reporter Eric Sandin <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson called the public hearing to order at 8:21 P.M. <br /> <br />City Engineer defined affected parcels to the audience. <br /> <br />Mr. Paul Chicoine - 6021 Industry Ave. N.W. - inquired about wetlands. <br /> <br />Clayton Berg informed Mr. Chicoine that wetlands will come under DNR. <br /> <br />Doris Irvine - Hwy. 10 - Generally, what is the reason for changing the <br />present zoning? <br /> <br />Clayton Berg - to control the need for sewer. <br /> <br />Stephen Schmidt - 5420 173rd Ave. N.W. - The legal description of my parcel <br />does not include approximately 1½ acres. I would like that corrected. <br /> <br />Willis Berry - 7220 NW 153rd Lane - I do not understand why General Mills <br />Property was changed to Residential. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec - This change is a result of several meetings over the past <br />3 years with General Mills. When General Mills develops the parcel, they <br />will develop it all at once and they will not develop until sewer and water <br />are in. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich informed audience that even though public hearings <br />are about to adjourn, action will be taken on the two public hearings later <br />in the evening, as noted on the agenda. <br /> <br />Public hearing adjourned at 8:40 P.M. <br /> <br />P&Z/February 2, 1982 <br />Publ i c Hearing <br /> Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
