He has lived in Ramsey since 1976 and would like to see Ramsey remain rural. He is familiar with the handicaps Metro Council applies to cities. He is employed by a firm involved with commercial sewer systems and does not feel it will create a conflict with his position on the Commission, if he is approved. Commissioner Schneider stated that she feels his position with his firm should not create any more of a conflict than a local developer being on the Commission. 5) Dr. Thomas Anderson: Interview Members Present: Chairman Kenneth Peterson Commissioner Zimmerman Commissioner Deemer Commissioner Schneider Commissioner Dunn Also Present: Jean Schlueter Sylvia Frolik Dr. Anderson stated that there are so many fluctuations in the Comprehensive Plan and that there should be some set guidelines and there should be room for change. Planning and Zoning is fairly consistent, but Council has been inconsistent. There should be more communication between Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council. He stated that the only background he could draw from are his own experiences living and developing land in the City of Ramsey. He feels he can view issues from both sides. Basically, he feels Planning and Zoning should have more authority. He stated that he would like to get involved in government at the City level. II.
