Present at this meeting were members of the MPCA, MWCC, Metro- politan Council and the local re]its of government. During .that meeting the MPCA staff indicated they did not expect to award state of federal grants for the CAB interceptor and that the Minneapolis East Interceptor must be expanded before flows from the CAB intercep- tor can be accepted. The position presented at %his meeting is still in effect. It is expected that the Metropolitan Council and the NWCC will comply with the 208 Water Quality Management Plan, including the protection of environmentally sensitive areas during construction of the CAB interceptor. Specifically these areas include wetland areas, cri- tical areas, floodplains, etc. Should you have any questions or if you hold views contrary to those presented in this letter please contact us.
