I <br />I <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />.I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />F ROM <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />DATE <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />Building Official <br /> <br />City Hall - Energy <br /> <br />January 26, 1982 <br /> <br />Mr. Roger Meyer, Mr. Jack Menkveld, Councilman Cox and myself today met <br />and reviewed what could be done to help conserve energy at City Hall. <br />The concensus was that the following items should be implemented: <br /> <br />1) Place storm panels on the glazed area to the rear of the lobby <br /> to provide better insulation. <br /> <br />2) Complete air lock at the main entry to the building. <br /> <br />3) Replace thermostats in fire barn for ones with lower temperature <br /> settings. <br /> <br />4) Install another smaller hot water heater and use the existing one <br /> for a tempering tank. <br /> <br />5) Install cabana fans in foyer area. <br /> <br />6) Install timers on makeup air unit. <br /> <br />7) Install buried piping to temper makeup air. <br /> <br />Other items of discussion included alternate energy as well as long-range <br />improvements which are: <br /> <br />1) Additional insulation on the roof when repairs become necessary. <br /> <br />2) Strip and insulate unfinished walls of lower level. <br /> <br />3) Ground water heat pumps, solar, <br /> <br />etc. <br /> <br /> <br />
