Motion by Commissioner Dunn and seconded by Commissioner Deemer, based on <br />the Findings of Fact, to recommend to City Council approval of this proposed <br />area to be rezoned Rural Business, with the following correction: <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> Item la) Change 331.3 feet to 426.3 feet <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Commissioners Deemer, Dunn, Zimmerman and <br />Schneider. Voting No: Chairman Peterson. <br /> <br />F. Change area designated Residential to Rural Open Space: <br /> <br /> Findings of Fact: <br /> <br /> 1. Title Change - Rural to Recreational <br /> <br /> INCORPORATE INTO FINDINGS OF FACT, P&Z FINDINGS OF FACT FROM OCTOBER 6, 1981: <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />That the Applicant has properly applied for rezoning of a parcel of <br />property from R-l, Residential, to B-1 zoning for a specific portion <br />of said property with the remainder to be zoned to a calssification <br />apt to be established. Staff recommendation for said zoning is <br />recreational open space. <br /> <br />That the property is known as Plat 89211, Parcel 9000 and is located <br />at the southeast corner of the intersections of State Trunk Highway <br />#47 and 167th Avenue NW. <br /> <br />! <br /> I <br /> <br />That the Applicant appeared before the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />at their regular meeting of October 6, 1981 for a public hearing and <br />presented his request. <br /> <br />That said public hearing was properly advertised and a copy of said <br />public hearing is hereby incorporated as a part of these findings. <br /> <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />That the Applicants property is adjoined on all sided by R-1 zoning, <br />but there is B-l, Business, zoning just to the northwest of his <br />property. <br /> <br />That access to the property would have to be provided from State <br />Trunk Highway #47. <br /> <br />That no rezoning requests have been submitted for said property; <br />however, rezoning requests for other parcels in the immediate vicinity <br />have been denied. <br /> <br />That neither the existing comprehensive plan nor the proposed <br />comprehensive plan propose any rezoning of this property. <br /> <br />That said application may be subject to Metropolitan Council review. <br /> <br />Legal description of area be rezoned B-1. <br /> <br />Proposed use will decrease the overall density of the area. <br /> <br />13.
