Voting No: None. c) Appointment/Reappointm~nt of Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary to the Board of Adjustment: Motion by Councilmember Sorteber9 and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to reappoint Council members to serve as Chairperson, Vice Chairperson and Secretary to the Board of Adjustment: 1) Chairperson, Board of Adjustment: Councilmember Cox. 2) Vice Chairperson, Board of Adjustment:' Councilmember Reimann. 3) Secretary, Board of Adjustment: Sylvia Frolik Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cox, Sorteberg, Reimann and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. d) Appoint/Reappoint Council Economic Development Commission: Mayor GameC - I feel~this Commission should be handled much the same Ks Planning and Zoning or Park and that it should be made up of committees such as legislative, financial, housing, etc. We should also be more selective of the people appointed to serve'on this commission~ Councilmember Cox agreed that EDC had not accomplished much in the last two years and that he would like to see someone appointed, very soon, to make some positive movement in regards to taxing when it comes up in legislation. Present EDC needs some organiza- tion, direction and information. Councilmember Sorteberg stated that coon Rapids has an excellent EDC Commission and maybe Ramsey should meet.with their commission members and get some direction on how to organize an effective EDC Commission. Councilmember Cox and Councilmember Sorteberg agreed to set the next EDCmeeting for January 20, 1982 and further that they will meet with Mr. Schnelle January 13, 1982 to try and resolve the direction that has to be taken by the ~DC Commission. e) Designation of Official Newspaper for the City of Ramsey: Motion b~ Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Cox designating the Anoka County Union as the City of Ramsey's official newspaper.
