D. Planned co~nunity events which are <br /> reasonably <br /> <br /> expected to be very substantial in size and which will <br /> therefore require substantial crowd control. <br /> <br /> 2. METHOD <br /> <br /> The of this Agreement shall be fulfilled <br /> purpose <br /> <br /> through the provision of police assistance by all parties to <br /> this Agreement. The police force of all parties to this <br /> Agreement are hereby deputized by the governing body of the <br /> governmental unit that ~hey enter pursuant to this Agreement, <br /> and the Anoka County Sheriff for governmental units which do <br /> not have full time police departments, for the period of <br /> time that t~hey are operating pursuant to and under the <br /> authority of this Agreement. <br /> <br /> Police may enter the territory of a governmental unit <br /> <br />of a party to this Agreement with full police powers in the <br />following circumstances and under ~he following conditions: <br /> <br /> A. If a crime is in progress or criminals are in <br />flight in a governmental unit, the police from a governmental <br />unit may, upon being informed of such an occurrenc~ by the <br />Central Communications or another police officer, enter the <br />territory of the other governmental unit for the purpose of <br />effecting an arrest or keeping'the public peace. While in <br />the territory of the other governmental unit, the police of <br />the responding unit of government shall be under ~he direction <br />of the senior police officer of the governmental unit in <br />which they are working. If the governmental unit into which <br />the police officers proceed do not have a police department, <br />the responding police shall be under the direction of the <br />senior member of the Anoka County Sheriff's Patrol Division <br />on duty. Upon the resolution of the circumstances which <br />occasioned their entry into such governmental unit, they <br />shall immediately retire to their jurisdiction. <br /> <br />! <br />! <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br />! <br />! <br /> <br /> <br />
